Polperro Wine – Est. 2009 – Single Vineyard & Estate Grown Wines from the Mornington Peninsula

Our wine is estate grown, a single vineyard expression of our unique sites from the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. This regions distinctive attributes are as a cool maritime climate, bounded on three sides by ocean and the varied altitudes of the verdant hinterland, cooled by the salty winds and nurturing the ancient rich volcanic soils.

Sam Coverdale, owner and winemaker, along with his team, tends to every facet of vineyard management, wine growing and wine making. This ensures that the resulting wines demonstrate a clear sense of place where the elements of the soil, micro climate and the people who tend to the land come together to create something truly unique. We manage 8 vineyards, 3 of which are used to create our single vineyard wines.

Our Mornington Peninsula single vineyard range consists of Talland Hill, which is Certified Organic and Biodynamic, Landaviddy Lane (sub region Shoreham) and Mill Hill (sub region Red Hill) the highest vineyard on the Peninsula.

We grow, make and farm our vineyards using a philosophy of sustainability and regenerative agriculture, applying a mix of biological, biodynamic and organic practices.

Celebrates the individual strengths of Australia’s wine regions with a small production of elegant and balanced wines grown in regions best suited to specific varieties.

Even Keel’s small production of wines is established through long-term relationships with growers from individually selected vineyards in some of Australia’s best and most distinctive wine growing regions.

Whether it be Chardonnay from Tumbarumba, Pinot Noir from Mornington Peninsula, Syrah from the Canberra District or Pinot Noir, Sam focuses on wine making techniques that reflect the particular influences specific to each region.

All stages of fruit development, such as pruning and canopy management, are overseen by Sam to retain the integrity of each vineyard, reflect the season and nurture each wine’s personality. After the delicate transfer of the fruit to our winery on the Mornington Peninsula, a combination of traditional and modern wine making techniques are employed and carried out by hand to complete the process.

Polperro Winery is nestled among the vines and shaded by ancient Angophora trees on a stunning 25 acre property in the heart of Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula. Established in May 2014, Polperro is a boutique winery that offers an on-site dining, intimate cellar door and luxury accommodation which showcases the Polperro and Even Keel wine.

With a wine lovers’ wine list, Polperro Vineyard Dining articulates the intrinsic synergy between the land, vineyard, produce farm and kitchen. Our ever changing menu highlights the seasonal harvests from the vineyards and farm.

The Polperro Cellar Door is a beautifully designed and intimate space, showcasing the Polperro and Even Keel wine labels, created by owner and winemaker, Sam Coverdale. 

The Polperro Wine Club expresses our passion for quality wine and viticulture. Offering 3 different wine experiences, in addition to a Cellar Club, all experiences are carefully curated by owner and winemaker Sam Coverdale. Subscriptions are curated and delivered quarterly to your door, with exclusive access to Polperro and Even Keel pre-release vintages, free postage within Australia, and a substantial saving of 15% off retail pricing.

Our owned and operated, multi-hectare, certified organic and biodynamic produce farm, is farmed and managed applying our philosophy of sustainability and regenerative agricultural, our gentle biological, biodynamic and organic practices, operating with a deep connection to the land, striving to build life and fertility.

Many Little Dining & Bar offers a Modern Asian – Sri Lankan inspired elevated dining experience, based on the authentic culinary traditions of our Executive Chef Gayan Pieris’s home land. Start with curated cocktails in our luxe wine bar, also featuring Polperro & Even Keel wine. The Many Little curated Winestore offers an eclectic and considered selection of wine, and our Larder has delicious take-home curries by Chef Gayan, condiments and divine hand-made bottled Many Little cocktails.

Nestled in amongst its lush Victorian landscape in Red Hill, Polperro Farmhouse is a celebration of the iconic Australian 1950’s holiday home, conjuring a familiar sense of nostalgia. The luxury three-bedroom farmhouse for guests has been newly renovated in conjunction with renowned design firm Hecker Guthrie. 

Polperro Villas are nestled amongst the vines on our stunning 25 acre Polperro Talland Hill vineyard, in the heart of the famous wine region Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula. Our boutique accommodation provides four beautifully styled, spacious studio  apartments overlooking the vines.

The Hut is a boutique yoga space, immersed deeply into the beautiful natural environment of Red Hill. We pride ourselves on the high quality personal touches we bring to your experience, so all you need to do is arrive and enjoy.

Amelie & Frank’s is our luxury fashion boutique and perfumery, named after Sam and Emma’s Daughters Amelie and Frankie. Our boutique highlights local and international creative designers to bring you the ultimate in luxury & design, together with a free spirit bohemian flavour.
