Seasonal share plates will showcase estate grown produce. With each course matched to our premium Polperro wines. Glasses at the ready, as this will be the last chance to taste our 2015 single vineyard wines. Sam, will also introduce a few new release 2016 estate wines. Polperro was fortunate enough to play host to MasterChef Australia for a Mornington Peninsula masterclass with celebrity chef, Heston Blumenthal. 

Our 25 acre property was the star of the show on Channel 10, Thursday the 22nd of June 2017 . The episode featured the three judges we know and love,  Gary Mehigan  Matt Preston and George Calombaris cooking alongside Heston Blumenthal. 

We are so proud that the Masterchef crew chose us and Red Hill as their location for the final roadshow Masterclass destination. ⠀⠀

The Master Chef team came to visit months ago and fell in love with the Polperro brand, the stunning property and our gorgeous staff. We had an incredible day working with the extensive crew from sunrise to late in the evening. It was yet another awesome experience in this crazy journey we are on seeing all that goes into a number 1 national rating production like this. Australia Day with a DJ

Were throwing our favourite annual event to celebrate the Australia Day Long Weekend at Polperro.

Taste our current release Even Keel wines at the pop up cellar door, grab some snacks from Polperro Kitchen and enjoy the the tunes provided by DJ RICE-E and a special guest. To cheers Australia day , we will be selling all our wines at cellar door prices as part of your event ticket . 

An all inclusive ticket at our special early bird price of $47.50 includes a Polperro Riedel Glass, a tasting of our new release Even Keel wines, 2 hearty lawn snacks prepared by Polperro Kitchen, and music from our resident DJ. 

ABOUT DJ RICE-E
A regular at the George Basement Bar he's known as a "purveyor of seductive, soulful beats and feel-good grooves". The set starts at 12pm and will continue well into the arvo.

2015 Polperro Pinot Gris, 5 stars ,95 points "A serious gris, perhaps showing its oak a little strongly at this stage, but the complexity and depth are unarguable. Intense, rich aromas and flavours of nutty barrel-ferment coupled with tropical fruit notes. Concentrated and powerful." 

2015 Even Keel Pinot Gris, 4 stars,93 points "This has a bright yellow hue and a rich, nutty, spicy aroma which suggest some barrel fermentation, while the palate has more depth and presence than most Aussie gris. Lovely texture and drinkability. From Polperro winemaker Sam Coverdale." 

2014 Polperro Mill Hill Pinot Noir, 5 stars ,95 points "Excellent deep red-purple hue and a rich, foresty bouquet with lavish oak and black cherry to dark plum fruit aromas. The palate is rich and full, soft and broad, showing more character the longer it was aired. It will age well. A top pinot." 

2015 Polperro Pinot Noir, 4 stars ,94 points "Medium red-purple in colour; the bouquet offers fresh herbs together with raspberry. It has a charming feathery lightness. Medium-bodied, softly textured but quite intense in its bright, deep fruit-driven flavours. It's lovely now with ageing potential"

We are stoked to be listed in the Delicous100, which ranks Victoria's 100 best restaurants. So very proud of our whole team of champions at Polperro. 

"There are few finer spots to while away a Peninsula afternoon than the deck at Polperro. With a glass of Sam Coverdale’s estate wine in hand, overlooking same vines, it’s a picture pretty indeed.

That glorious view is backed up by one of the smartest dining rooms around these parts, with the bistro-style food coming out of the kitchen equally clever.

Slices of excellent house-baked bread come with Peninsula olive oil that heralds a dedication to both localism and a DIY ethos — as does the kitchen garden, filled with artichokes, rainbow chard, herbs and two resident chooks.

Seared scallops with polenta cream might give way to a garlic- and chilli-spiked spaghetti generous with crab, while bigger sharing plates — including an excellent lamb shoulder served with punchy salsa verde and smoked yoghurt — take care of family feasting in generous fashion. The crunchy snow peas with black beans are a winning side.

Teamed with a wine list created by a wine maker for wine lovers, it’s the complete package, pretty as a picture."

Our functions are flexible and showcase the best we have to offer at Polperro, expect great food and awesome wines served in our unique casual style. All guests can take advantage of our stunning outdoor areas overlooking the vines, and relax in the designer bistro taking in the rural views.

Groups of up to 34 people can dine in our central dining room, without booking out the entire venue. We serve a stunning share-style menu comprising three courses and sides. Extras such as canapés, sparkling wine or cocktails can also be arranged for your guests upon arrival.

If you’re after a private experience, our space is perfect for small to medium sized groups. Australian Exclusive - Polperro hosts world class chef Kevin Cherkas of Cuca Restaurant, for the Australian Swig & Nibble debut
 
Internationally acclaimed Cuca Restaurant of Bali, will present an Australian Exclusive Event at Polperro Bistro this October. Reaching Australian shores for the first time, Michelin trained chef Kevin Cherkas (ex. El Bulli, Arzak, La Broche, Daniel) has teamed up with winemaker Sam Coverdale to present the Australian debut of Cuca’s unique dining experience ‘Swig & Nibble’ at the popular vineyard facing venue on the Mornington Peninsula. 
 
THE EVENT
 
‘Swig & Nibble’ is one of the most unique and memorable dining events, hosted only in the most iconic venues. The event has travelled throughout Asia in Shangri-la Makati in Manila, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud and Pullman Rooftop Bar in Jakarta. This will be the first time that the event has ever been held outside South East Asia. 
 
‘Swig & Nibble’ will take diners on a flavour- centric journey, presenting nine uniquely crafted signature bites, inventively presented and paired with Sam’s Polperro and Even Keel wines. Leading the culinary feast will be award-winning Chef and CUCA  co-creator, Canadian-born Kevin Cherkas, whose super-impressive culinary resume reveals stints at three Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and Spain, including legendary El Bulli. Kevin is known as “one of the friendliest, funniest, multi-awarded and most talented young chefs in the world”. 
 
This will be an un-missable event for any food lover. It is the only opportunity to experience Cuca’s first exclusive dining event in Australia. Limited tickets available for this sell-out event. 
 
Swig and Nibble will run from October 7th – 9th for lunch and dinner -  6 exclusive events over 3 days.
